What is VAULT?
Vault is an asymmetric communications client designed to survive infrastructure-level interventions. Unlike traditional platforms (Signal, Telegram), Vault lacks "Central Servers" that can be hacked, subpoenaed, or seized.
System Anatomy
- Onion Routing (By Default): All text and multimedia traffic is cryptographically forced through a local SOCKS5 tunnel, bouncing your connection across continents on the Tor Network prior to re-emission.
- Disposable Identity (Kamikaze): No phone numbers or emails. You log in by generating pure entropic noise (a locally generated Nostr key). You launch your leak and destroy the client; there is no real account retention block that the NSA can investigate.
- Physical Agnosticism: Instead of traditional DNS, Vault reads and writes over hundreds of Global Public Relays. If 20 relays are censored in your country, the network seamlessly switches to 50 other mirrors worldwide upon reloading the app.
